Our baronial scribes craft original scrolls and charters presented by the Coronets to recognize the achievements, service, and chivalry of the populace. Whether you are a master illuminator or picking up a broad-edge pen for the first time, all skill levels are welcome to contribute!

Scribal Line Art & Sample Scroll Text
Their Excellencies are in constant need of assistance with the creation of scrolls and scroll blanks in order to recognize their populace. If you would like to create a scroll that
Their Excellencies are able to present to their populace for merit within the lands of Sacred Stone, please refer to the line art and suggested text below.
It is suggested that in the process of creating a scroll a heavyweight card stock or covre stock be used. It is also recommended that at least a 1″ margin be left to accomodate matting and framing your work.
This helps to keep your beautiful painting from sticking to the glass surface of the frame.
There are several examples of scroll texts available, but none are required. If you wish to create your own scroll text, you certainly may but be sure to follow published Atlantian Standards.
Order of the Sacred Stone
Baronial Service Order
Established in 1982 to recognize outstanding service and dedication to the barony over a long period of time and with the promise of continuing service in the future.
Order of the Phoenix Eye
Baronial A&S Order
Established in 1982 to recognize outstanding Arts and Sciences achievements within the Barony of the Sacred Stone. This includes the teaching of that art in the Barony and its use on the Barony’s behalf.
Order of the Phoenix Claw
Baronial Combat Order
Established in 1983 to recognize outstanding performance on the field of battle in heavy weapons within the Barony of the Sacred Stone. In 1991, Baron Bran Trefonnen opened this Order to rapier as well.
Order of the Phoenix Heart
Baronial Courtesy/Chivalry Order
Established in 1988 to recognize courtesy and chivalry in the Barony of the Sacred Stone. The original name of the Order had to be changed to its current name in 1992.
Non-Polling & Non-Armorial Awards
Below are the non-polling awards presented by the Barony of the Sacred Stone to recognize specific acts of service, chivalry, combat, and artistic achievement. Scribes drafting original scrolls for these honors are welcome to write custom verbiage or consult our Sample Scroll Text for Non-Polling Awards for standard, heraldically approved wording options.
Order of the Yeoman of the Sacred Stone
Baronial Archery Order
Created in 1991 to recognize outstanding light weapons contributions on the field, specifically archers and scouts. This is not currently a polling Order due to its small size.
- Baronial Award of Excellence
First given in 1991 and recognizes outstanding achievement in the arts and sciences by a specific work or project. It is now an award of general excellence. - Award of the Flame of the Phoenix
Created and first given in 1986 as special recognition for the contributions of newcomers to the Barony. It is now an award recognizing an outstanding feat of service in the Barony. - Award of the Feather of the Phoenix
Created and first given in 1986 to recognize the special contributions made by the Barony’s children. - Award of the Talon of the Phoenix
First given in 1992 and recognizes outstanding achievement on the field of battle during a specific event. - Award of the Drakken Egg
First given in 1993 to recognize contributions made on the behalf of newcomers. It is now an award recognizing outstanding contributions made by newcomers. - Award of the Spirit of the Phoenix
First given in 2001 and recognizes contributions made on behalf of the Barony from people who live outside its geographical boundaries. - Award of the Chef d’oeuvre
Created in 2006 and is given to individuals for skill in planning and cooking feasts. - The Defenders of the Sacred Stone
Created in 2006 and is given to recognize those who served Sacred Stone during their term as Champion by working to support the Barony both inside and outside the borders, in the area of which they were Champion. - Spark of the Phoenix
Created in 2004 as The Award of the Ember of the Phoenix.
Recognizes outstanding achievement in the Arts & Sciences by a specific work or project. Name changed in 2013. - Baronial Award of Courtesy
Given at the discretion of the Coronets to any individual displaying outstanding courtesy to any member of the populace or themselves.
